The Groendeur Gastehuis welcomes you with its old-fashioned charm along the dirt road with blue sky stretching far, a warm greeting, the most beautiful sunsets, late night chats while the moon shines at it's most beautiful and the sea close enough for a day's pleasure. Make the distance worth it, Namaqualand at its best.
Location
Google Maps is not the best option as signal is poor and it takes you through private farms where the road conditions is very bad, rather use the directions as below:
N7-Bitterfontein - turn left at the first road turn right and keep straight (you might want to top up your diesel/petrol at the garage for those trips to the beach- this is the closest garage which is 50km from us) the road will then run onto gravel road which makes a 90 degree turn to the left, keep straight until you reach a place called Rietpoort keep straight, you will go through several farm gates of which most is open, you will see a board Kotzesrus, turn right and keep straight at the fork in the road keep right, as you enter Kotzesrus the road will make a 90 degree turn to the right just keep straight as you drive out of Kotzesrus from the last house it is about 4km you will see a green door next to the road with markngs, turn right and keep straight through farm gates (sometimes open simetimes not, please keep closed when they are closed) the Guest House is about 3 km from the turn off.
